Hugh MacDonald joins Peter Martin, Alan Rough and Tam Cowan as the foursome look at back at the tragic death of Scotland manager Jock Stein. Roughie reveals the devastation from inside the dressing room on that heartbreaking night and gives an insight into the legendary man himself.
 
Peter and Hugh reminisce about their very different paths into a career of sports journalism. Hugh chats about the difficulties of filing match reports in the pre-internet era and he tells his best tales from his eight decades as a football fan.
 
The guys discuss their first ever football match that saw them fall in love with the beautiful game including a trip to Shettleston Juniors. They recall their best memories of football icon Davie Cooper ahead of his 25th anniversary and debate whether the 1970 Celtic team had the edge over the Lisbon Lions of 1967.

The former Aberdeen striker reminisces about the famous European Cup Winners Cup victory over Real Madrid after becoming Sir Alex Ferguson's first Dons signing. But the ex-Scotland international insists scoring in the 1-1 draw with England was the real highlight of his playing career.
